Buying a used loom from Türkiye: inspection, payment and shipping

Buying a used loom from another country can feel like a leap. It doesn’t have to be. Here is what happens, step by step, when you buy a machine through Looms For Sale.

1. Ask about a listing

Every listing has a reference number, such as LFS-109. Send it to us on WhatsApp or by email with what you want to know: price and availability, technical details, what is included. Prices are quoted per listing, in USD or EUR.

2. Inspect before you commit

Machines are inspected and photographed before we list them, and technical details are verified as far as we can. You don’t have to rely on photos alone. Ask for:

• a video inspection, with the parts you care about shown up close,
• a live demonstration of the machine running,
• a site visit in Türkiye.

3. Agree and pay the deposit

Once you decide, we put it in a sales agreement. Payment is by bank transfer. Full payment or an agreed deposit is received before any dismantling, packing or shipping starts, which protects both sides.

4. Dismantling, packing and shipping

Delivery follows Incoterms 2020, as written in the agreement: EXW if you collect, FOB or CIF if you want it delivered to a port. Dismantling, packing and shipping are available as optional services. Customs clearance, duties and taxes in your country are the buyer’s responsibility.

5. Installation and harness

A loom is only useful when it is weaving. Our technicians can install and adjust the machine at your mill, and Güryay can build and fit the jacquard harness for the fabric you plan to weave.

Warranty and returns

Industrial machinery is sold as final unless agreed otherwise in writing, and a warranty applies only when it is stated in the sales agreement. This is why the inspection step matters: ask every question before you commit.
